Terms of service

Alina Homes — Terms & Conditions (Sales + Installation)

1. About us

These Terms & Conditions apply to the supply of products and (where agreed) installation services by Alina Homes (the trading name of Alluminio Designs Ltd.) ("we", "us", "our").

2. Definitions

  • Customer/you: the person or business purchasing products/services from us.

  • Goods: any products we supply (e.g., aluminium/uPVC windows and doors, roof lanterns, roof lights, internal doors, composite doors and accessories).

  • Services: any installation or related services we agree to provide.

  • Quote: our written quotation.

  • Order: your acceptance of our Quote.

  • Contract: the agreement formed under these Terms when we accept your Order.

3. Scope: supply-only and installation

  • We offer supply-only as standard.

  • Where installation is agreed, it may be carried out by our approved installers. Installation scope, site requirements, and timings will be confirmed in writing.

  • If there is any conflict between these Terms and an order confirmation or installation schedule, the order confirmation prevails.

4. Quotes and pricing

  • Quotes are valid for the period stated on the Quote (or, if not stated, 30 days).

  • Prices are based on the specification and information you provide (measurements, access, finishes, glazing, hardware, delivery address, etc.).

  • If you change the specification after a Quote is issued, we may revise the price and lead time.

  • Unless stated otherwise, prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

5. Measurements and surveys

  • For supply-only orders, you are responsible for providing correct measurements and suitability for your project.

  • If we (or our installer) carry out a site survey, you must provide safe access and accurate information about the site.

  • If measurements or site conditions differ from what was provided, additional costs and delays may apply.

6. Placing an order and acceptance

  • An Order is placed when you confirm in writing (email is fine) that you wish to proceed with the Quote.

  • The Contract is formed only when we issue written acceptance (e.g., order confirmation) and/or take payment (as applicable).

  • We may refuse an Order (for example, if a product is unavailable or information provided is incomplete).

7. Lead times and delivery

  • Lead times are estimates and can vary due to manufacturing capacity, supplier delays, or changes to specification.

  • Delivery dates are not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed in writing as guaranteed.

  • You must ensure suitable access for delivery and a safe place to unload/store Goods.

  • If delivery fails due to site access issues or no-one being available, re-delivery/storage charges may apply.

8. Risk and title

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery (or on collection).

  • Title to the Goods passes to you once we have received full cleared payment for the Goods and any related charges.

9. Payment terms

  • Payment terms will be stated on the Quote/order confirmation.

  • We may require a deposit to place the order with the manufacturer.

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all invoices are payable by the due date stated.

  • Late payments may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs.

10. Changes, cancellations, and bespoke goods

Many of our Goods are made-to-measure/bespoke.

  • Once an Order is confirmed and/or manufacturing has started, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

  • If cancellation is accepted, you may be liable for costs already incurred (including manufacturer charges, materials, and admin time).

  • If you are a consumer and the Goods are bespoke, your statutory cancellation rights may be limited. (You should seek advice if unsure.)

11. Installation (where applicable)

If we agree to provide installation Services:

  • You must ensure the site is ready (clear access, parking, power, water if needed, safe working conditions).

  • You must disclose any known issues (asbestos, structural concerns, hidden services, fragile finishes, alarms, pets, etc.).

  • Any building works, making-good, plastering, decoration, scaffolding, waste removal, or specialist trades are excluded unless explicitly included in writing.

  • If additional works are required due to unforeseen site conditions, we will inform you and may quote additional charges.

12. Snagging and completion

  • You must inspect the Goods/installation promptly.

  • Any visible damage or issues should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and, in any event, within 48 hours of delivery for delivery-related damage.

  • For installation, we may agree a snagging list and reasonable timeframe to address it.

13. Returns and refunds

  • For standard (non-bespoke) Goods, returns may be accepted at our discretion, subject to condition and restocking fees.

  • For bespoke/made-to-measure Goods, returns are generally not accepted unless the Goods are faulty or not as described.

  • Where a refund is due, it will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable time.

14. Warranties and guarantees

  • Manufacturer warranties/guarantees may apply (terms vary by product/brand).

  • Any warranty is subject to correct installation, correct use, and proper maintenance.

  • Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, and failure to maintain are excluded.

15. Product appearance and tolerances

  • Colours, finishes, and textures may vary due to screen settings, lighting, batch variation, and manufacturing tolerances.

  • Minor cosmetic variations that do not materially affect performance are not considered faults.

16. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Subject to that:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity).

  • Our total liability under the Contract is limited to the amount you paid for the Goods/Services giving rise to the claim.

  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (see clause 17).

17. Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including (without limitation) supplier/manufacturer delays, transport disruption, extreme weather, fire, flood, strikes, or government action.

18. Customer responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and measurements

  • Ensure the site is safe and accessible

  • Obtain any permissions/approvals required (planning/building control/landlord/freeholder)

  • Follow care and maintenance guidance
